Well, I'll one up you on that one. No need to be respectful. If a person can't self-promote, then most of the posts on Reddit should be banned. People are constantly posting pics of themselves or their cats or their cars or their friends. In fact, there is nothing more natural than self-promotion. If you don't talk about your own book why on earth should anybody else? Good luck with the book.
BTW, a gazillion people have been banned, many multiple times, from Reddit. You are in good company. On Zoomit.ca, as long as you submit good content and not just sales pages, you are free to post whatever Canadian content you think others would enjoy.

thanks - You are correct that most posts on reddit are for some form of self-promotion. Most of the people who responded on Reddit were great, some even contributed to my indiegogo campaign, some downloaded my free book from Amazon. I was kind of shocked at the immediate positive response to the post - that's why I don't think it should be banned.

These are great stories for teens and adults by a Canadian Author. I highly recommend them.
